This issue occurs if the RunOnce registry key is missing in the virtual machine registry. This key may be accidentally deleted by a third-party software components.
Due to a problem with the registry, the following fix is needed
To resolve this issue, add the
RunOnceregistry key to the registry of the virtual machine.
Note: This procedure modifies the Windows registry. Before making any registry modifications, ensure that you have a current and valid backup of the registry and the virtual machine. For more information on backing up and restoring the registry, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article

To add the
RunOnceregistry key:
ClickStart&>Run, type regedit, and clickOK. The Registry Editor window opens.
Navigate toHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion.
Determine if there is folder namedRunOnceunderCurrentVersion.
If it does not exist, right-clickCurrentVersion,clickNew&>Keyand createa folder namedRunOnce.
